Wiggins Island Coast Export Terminal (WICET) is a green field coal export terminal on Golding Point, Queensland. The offshore wharf and loading facilities provide additional export capacity at the Port of Gladstone to service new mines and the expansion of existing mines in the Surat and southern Bowen Basins.

Receivers KordaMentha engaged Gowdie Management Group to provide expert quantity surveying and construction advice to enable a quick and logical investigation of construction information and data presented for forensic accounting analysis.

Our team’s experience with construction issues encountered in marine and remote environments enabled us to provide expert analysis on preliminaries, labour allocations and the veracity of information presented to support claims. We worked closely with KordaMentha, the WICET project team and lawyers Minter Ellison to provide clear and concise information to all parties for determining the appropriate path to resolution.

The dispute was successfully settled in September 2016.
