Andrew Davis has more than 20 years’ experience in major projects, gaining an excellent reputation in Australia and overseas as a leader in quantity surveying, contract management and project management. His wealth of experience has been gained on a diverse range of projects for which he successfully delivered commercial, government, energy and infrastructure works within complex environments, in Australia and overseas.
Recently, Andrew has been at the forefront of providing project director services for 18 months to the New South Wales Department of Justice on behalf of Corrective Services NSW, delivering and commissioning critical correctional centre infrastructure.
Andrew has also provided expert advice under privilege in major contract disputes on heavy industrial projects, including Wiggins Island Coal Expert Terminal (WICET) in which he provided advice on the Security of Payments Act regarding a $700 million claim for labour. In all cases, his advice helped to bring about an amicable resolution between the parties involved.
Andrew was a key manager responsible for the delivery of major infrastructure projects involving $1.3 billion worth of electrical network infrastructure for the Australia Pacific LNG Project for Origin Energy. He has also previously delivered other projects for Origin Energy including natural gas pipeline and storage infrastructure from Bass Gas to the Mortlake Power Station in Victoria.
As site contract manager with Siemens Power Generation from 2000 to 2010, Andrew was intimately associated with the delivery of major power generation site works as either the engineering, procurement and construction contractor or the equipment supplier, and was responsible for implementing claims defence and contract management techniques across various sites in the USA and Central and South America.
Andrew’s experience in delivering major projects in different legislative and geopolitical environments is testament to the adaptability of his skills.
