Our Team

Brad Schaper has more than 20 years’ experience in the construction industry delivering major projects across a broad range of sectors, including commercial and residential high-rise, sporting and entertainment facilities, hospital refurbishments and maritime infrastructure.

Brad is a reputable leader in construction and has extensive experience in project planning, due diligence, site acquisition and feasibility analysis, design management and coordination, consultant briefing, tendering and contracting. He excels in consultant and contractor management and stakeholder consultation and management.

Brad has developed his project management skills working in all areas of construction. He began his career with Bovis Lend Lease, initially working in procurement and delivery roles before advancing to management of a range of projects, including hospitals, hotels, retail developments, industrial facilities and banks. During this time he gained valuable practical on-site construction experience to complement his engineering degree.

After leaving Bovis, Brad successfully transferred to client-side project management, completing a wide range of projects in various managerial roles. Before joining Gowdie Management Group, he worked for  RCP and Gallagher Jeffs, where he managed major projects throughout Queensland including Townsville’s $31 million Flinders Street Redevelopment, the $29 million Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre, Townsville’s $85 million Inner Harbour Expansion and Cruise Terminal, and South Bank’s Brisbane 1 multi-tower high-rise residential complex.

Brad has significant experience managing consultant teams and contractors under various delivery models. His diligence and attention to detail has even been recognised by the Australian Institute of Building for Professional Excellence in Building, which awarded him a high commendation in the infrastructure category for his work on the Flinders Street redevelopment. Brad’s involvement in the early phases of this project, from helping to write the brief to procurement and consultant, builder and stakeholder management, ensured the successful completion of this project.
