David Row has completed construction projects throughout Australia and Papua New Guinea for the past 35 years. His vast knowledge and experience extends across all aspects of project, design, contract and construction management, from large commercial and civil works to smaller residential developments.
David is a registered builder and has formalised his hands-on experience through the completion of professional, technical and management qualifications. He joined Gowdie Management Group in 2012 to assist with the tender management of Moranbah South Village, a large mining infrastructure project in Central Queensland.
David is currently applying his extensive expertise and experience to the Hopkins Correctional Centre (Ararat) project in Victoria, which he helped bring to practical completion and continues to preside over during the facilities management component of this significant public-private partnership.
David has worked on many distressed projects, including the Haus mixed-use residential apartments at Collingwood and Libertine apartments in Northcote, Melbourne.
Before joining Gowdie Management Group David worked in Papua New Guinea where he established the construction division of Curtin Bros PNG. Within two years David had grown the division’s annual turnover to $50 million.
David has also built considerable knowledge in contract management from his various roles, including contracts manager for the $80 million Cairns Central Shopping Centre. Representing Multiplex Constructions, David was responsible for letting all major and minor subcontracts and establishing and maintaining supply contracts for this major regional project.
