Tim Lawlor

Bachelor of Applied Science – Construction Management, Diploma of Architectural Technology

Tim has more than 13 years’ commercial construction experience across a range of high-end fit-outs, refurbishments, new building projects and distressed assets.

Tim is an exceptional communicator with high-level technical, financial and commercial knowledge, which he has applied on several construction projects for Gowdie Management Group.  His ability to effectively communicate technical and commercial matters to clients and other stakeholders has led him to be highly successful in delivering a variety of contracts.

Tim has a strong background in contract administration having worked in that role at Watpac for nine years. After leaving Watpac Tim worked on several distressed projects for companies such as Devine, Built, Construction Engineering and Cullen Group. During this time Tim was exposed to high-pressure environments where decisions often had far-reaching commercial and legal consequences.

Tim’s responsibilities at Devine involved project financial reporting, subcontractor and supplier procurements and management, and review and maintenance of head contract programmes. At Cullen Group, Tim oversaw a cluster of concurrently run distressed projects ranging from 60-70 per cent complete. He managed all project commercial issues including liaising with external legal teams, clients and management.

With a degree in construction management, Tim has developed a solid understanding of the complex needs of a variety of projects through valuable hands-on experience, including working within ‘live’ environments to ensure minimal disruptions to daily workplace activities.
